Exhibition of the leading Serbian artist Stojan Milanov in Zurich
OUR CHARITY PROJECT
Dear all,
You probably know about the floods had struck the people in Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia in May 2104, leaving thousands of adults, children (and animals) homeless, without food, water, warm and dry clothes. Roads and bridges are flooded, schools and kindergartens have been shut down, more than 100,000 homes in Serbia left without power, while rain-swollen rivers and surging water course through towns and villages, overflowing across streets into homes, causing landslides and other disasters.
All the help we collected from February till May 2014 we sent there (Serbia and Bosnia).
Unfortunately, floods were happened again but in another part of Serbia (East), in September same year.
Terrible time for people out there.

About the latest goals of the project for kids and single moms and dads:
we sent dozens of packages with charity items we collected from many nice people in and around Zurich, to Kraljevo and Nis, to Institution for kids and adults with disabilities in Sremcica (near Belgrade), to the Public Hospital in Požarevac, Organization for Romes in Požarevac, to a few public daycares and preschools, to many families all over the Serbia - Sombor, Šid, Elemir, Pančevo, Kragujevac, Lazarevac, Negotin, etc.
We own the biggest THANKS to a great company Putnik Cargo for transportation from Zurich to Serbia! Also, THANKS to many nice people - from English Forum, FB groups and during our family garage sale - who gave some money for this project (for transportation) buying some items and giving the cash (Helse organization and Bogdanovic Kunst) so we used it for all the shipments.

Vladimir Milosevic, pianist
One of the most prominent Serbian pianists of his generation, Vladimir Milosevic has recently been proclaimed the Winner of the 2013 Rising Artist Concerto Presentation by the New York Concert Artists & Associates and he will feature with NYCA Symphony Orchestra in the 2013/2014 season in New York City.
Two Swiss Premieres of Works by Marko Nikodijevic - in Zurich
During the course of a concert entitled “chambres de ténèbres”, the works “chambres de ténèbres / tombeau de claude vivier” for ensemble (world premiere 2010 in Amsterdam) and “gesualdo dub / raum mit gelöschter figur” for piano and ensemble (world premiere 2012 in Witten) by Marko Nikodijevic had their Swiss premieres in Zurich on 25 September 2013, in Tonhalle.
The performers were the pianist Stefan Wirth and the "Collegium Novum Zürich" under the direction of Jonathan Stockhammer.
